Endemol shine Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Endemol was a Dutch-based media company that produced and distributed multiplatform entertainment content. The company annually produced more than 15,000 hours of programming across scripted and non-scripted genres, including drama, reality TV, comedy, game shows, entertainment, factual and children's programming. Endemol, a global network of operations in more than 30 countries, worked with over 300 broadcasters, digital platforms and licensees worldwide. The business covered development, production, marketing, distribution, franchise management and multi-platform initiatives including digital video, gaming and apps. Endemol was merged into Endemol Shine Group (a joint-venture between The Walt Disney Company and Apollo Global Management) and headquartered in the Netherlands in 2015. Since the merger, Endemol is an in-name-only unit of Endemol Shine Group, and in the next years, Endemol's iconic eye logo was replaced with Endemol Shine Group's wordmark-only logo in the closing credits of most of the shows that it licensed. Endemol created and ran reality, talent and game show franchises worldwide, including Big Brother, Deal or No Deal, Wipeout, The Money Drop, and Your Face Sounds Familiar. The company also has a portfolio of drama and comedy series including titles such as The Fall, Peaky Blinders, Hell on Wheels, Benidorm, Ripper Street, Black Mirror, Bad Education, My Mad Fat Diary, Hot in Cleveland, Kirstie, Leverage, Home and Away, Death Comes to Pemberley and The Crimson Field.

Gary Yates mentioend, "Edemol stop making false claims of copyright in video clips that you did not film, you have made a fraudulent claim on a youtube channel. Also fraudulently deceiving the channel owner from money rights, you used a clip free of charge, of an interaction with a lolly pop sucking police officer then claimed the copyright on said channel."

"Current structure is a shell with the holding company just waiting for Idol to wrap up before closing the doors. Current leadership (a stretch to use that word) is a joke."

"Very negative and abusive environment. No respect for individuals. Some senior crew and DPs are extremely abusive and pass lewid comments, they won't think twice to assassinate your character at the word go."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"The Endemol Shine workplace is very cliquey and fake. Some people put on a front to be friendly to your face but then talk badly behind your back. This makes the work place very toxic! HR are not to be trusted as they will just tell all your personal matters to people in their friendship group. Additionally the talent team only help who they like."

"Your longevity in the company is based on whether or not people like you, not your actual work or performance; not to mention you work soul-sucking hours and have to deal with the gargantuan egos of people who are likely not even qualified to have the positions they hold but rather, they're just connected to the executive producers of the company or great at sucking up."

"There's no room for growth and the pay is below average. Benefits are fine, but nothing to write home about."

"Pushed to save money effecting on screen content."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"There is no path for growth at Endemol. Upper-level execs seem to be complacent with the status quo or are oblivious to the fact that they are burning out their lower and mid-level employees with under-market payscale and very little room for advancement or training. There is a lot of talent within the company but they have "seen the light" and are leaving to find advancement at other companies. I would have stayed and made Endemol my home if I hadn't started feeling like I was being undervalued and overworked. Benefits are great. Words are great. But they need to back their words up with actions or they are going to have to continue re-hiring. The people they hire next will either be greener to match the payscale or Endemol will have to eat the losses for hiring talented people who won't work for less than what they're worth. Other than that, it is truly a phenomenal place to work."

"Entry-level employees are severely underpaid, especially considering cost of living Executives are allowed to burn through assistants No performance reviews Managers seem to be concerned with their own egos and place in the company, and don't give clear training or feedback to their direct hires"

"Very low pay, difficult to move up financially"
